Caught up in words and people too her life's a gypsy saga She moved with parents, then with her brood spirit and body to and fro together now, apart, then back roaming all space, in and out of minds a guide who could offer a hand to hold Needed or curious, off she'd go seeing, remembering, learning again in worlds that felt safer than home Then came the bruises, the cuts, the fears intertwined with a loss of memory Oh she quit for a while, then roamed again nevermore to be kept in one place The spirit escaped her ever-unlocked cage released the body to heal allowed the woman to love again no longer afraid she might flee searching for purpose in a gypsy soul longing for the words to tell a tale of freedom, love, life, togetherness the whole of a person alive at once held in check only by memories Restrain her not Make wings of her words
